Aquarius- Aquarius is the world's only underwater laboratory operational in our world's oceans, and is located adjacent to a coral reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary . Aquarius is owned and funded by the NOAA and is operated by the National Undersea Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Our research programs have helped us to understand the threats facing the dolphins and to develop strategies to manage these threats. Education and media programs have raised the awareness of the community and resulted in a more caring behaviour around the dolphins on the water.
